Ted Lloyd led an amazing life. As a child he was a magician's assistant, boy evangelist, medicine man,  minstrel singer and even delivered groceries to  notorious gangster Al Capone. While traveling across the United States with his Vaudevillian parents, young Ted mastered the art of Ventriloquism. As Sagebrush Shorty, Ted Lloyd entertained a generation of Detroit children with his pals Skinny Dugan and Broncho Billy Buttons. Lloyd left Detroit for Los Angeles in 1965, where he performed and taught ventriloquism until his death in 1999. The Ted Lloyd story will be coming very soon, with lots of rare photos, sounds and video.
